What you get when you dig into this site

This site is part portfolio, part laboratory, and part field notebook. I keep what I notice, learn, make, experience, and wonder about. Sometimes pieces connect in a way that matters; I give that connection enough form to meet reality and see what happens.

Resident Inventor is the professional identity I use for that tendency. The medium follows the idea, so the results don’t always resemble each other.

Professional work and playful work coexist here because they keep informing each other. Some projects are finished, some are active, and others are snapshots of my thinking in motion.

For the quick version, start with the TL;DR. Otherwise, follow whichever title makes you curious: the pages are more connected than they first appear.

What I Build

  • Operational frameworks → Turn recurring organizational problems into practical systems and shared language
  • Knowledge systems → Documentation and information architecture that people actually use
  • Human–AI systems → Ways to use computation, mixing, challenge, and implementation while keeping judgment with the person doing the work
  • Conceptual tools → Names, models, and mental frameworks that make invisible patterns easier to see
  • Educational resources → Books, courses, and teaching systems that make complex ideas accessible
  • Games → I gamify life's systems for myself and for others

Things That Changed

  • 45% reduction in onboarding time by restructuring how information flows
  • Documentation coverage went from near-zero to 85%, enabling consistent execution
  • Operational oversight across 13 simultaneous projects and 50+ staff with clear ownership
  • Systems that returned leadership’s focus to strategy
